Hotel Advice - Miami Late arrival

We are cruising on majesty of seas on August 9th. We have a 11:50pm arrival on 8/8. After reading on the amount of shady areas of miami, i am wondering about a good option for hotel for the night. i am up for taxi or shuttle but a safe area of town.

Stay at a hotel near the airport because of your late arrival. They run less $$ and some offer shuttle pick up from the airport. Check their schedule tho with the hotel.

 

THere are MANY recs here. LaQuinta East is popular. Any of the ones in the Blue Lagoon/airport area. If you go over to tripadvisor, you can see the popular ones and read recent reviews there too.

Hampton Inn or Homewood Suites in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA are regularly suggested on these boards. Free airport shuttle, free breakfast, shopping center for last minute items, and a cab to POM for under $30 including tip. Good luck!:)

If u have hotel points u can use them. all the major hotels r near airport. Hilton, marriott, etc. book one onf them. They all provide 24 hr free shuttle; they will hail u a taxi in the morning. It's about 15-20 taxi from hotel to airport.
