MarkBearSF Posted June 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2010 How long are waits to get into the National Archeological Museum and other historic sites in Athens in July? If the waits are lengthy, are there any strategies to lessen this? These days, it appears that every sight in Italy accepts advance reservations, but I've seen nothing like this for Greece. What's been your experience? Mark
6rugrats Posted June 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 4, 2010 The best way to beat the heat and crowds, IME, is to go early. We had no wait last July anywhere in Athens using this strategy.
Rare cruisemom42 Posted June 4, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 4, 2010 Athens does not get as many tourists as Rome. Particularly this year, with the strikes causing a number of people to cancel trips to Athens, I wouldn't worry unduly about waits.
