I'm sailing on Friday out of SFO on an 11-day Alaskan inland passage on the Sea Princess. Being cheap, and don't want to pay for a soda card, or $2 a pop for pop.

That being said, can I bring onboard a tupperware container (something like a 15-20gallon tupperware storage container) filled with various 12 packs of soda, 1 liter bottles of pelligrino, etc (all-non-alcoholic).

Should I just do that, tape it up, put on my room label, and hope it makes it?

Do I need to tip the porters extra?

Any other hints on this topic?

Thanks,

charlie
