Bar Harbor...Hot Lobster Roll

Is there a place to get a hot lobster roll in Bar Harbor? I heard the Lobster Claw had closed.

I believe that you can get a lobster roll just about any where in Bar Harbor ... used to be that you could get lobster rolls at McDonald's around here. Jan

The thing is trying to find a "hot" lobster roll. The cold roll with mayonaise is easy to find. But we like the roll with the hot butter drizzled over it. These are harder to find.

Why don't you just ask for a "lazy lobster" in a roll with hot butter? Think that would work - just lobster meat no mayo. Jan

 

Although sometimes the lazy lobster is baked and has crumbs - I don't know any that specializes in this, but you could always send the different restaurants in town an e-mail

Try the Route 66 restaurant. They'll make it any way you want it. It's on a side steet off of Main St.

This thing is a hotdog bun with cold "seafood salad" and butter. I just didn't know it was going to be like this!

You've been going to the wrong restaurants :rolleyes:. Stewman's Lobster Pound on the Bar Harbor waterfront has the lobster roll + coke for $14.50 plus tax and tip. The lobster roll has fresh lobster meat and a touch of mayo heaped on a toasted traditional roll; it is definitely not seafood salad.
