HEINER Posted June 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2010 Has anyone been to the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri or St Regis Grand Hotel? I Know $$$ but I need a king size bed and these are the only ones I can find:cool: And are they in a good location and close to some of the attractions? Thanks for any information you can give us. euro cruiser Posted June 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2010 Neither is what I would consider "ideally" located in Rome, but of the two, the St. Regis is much closer to the historic area most people are going to visit.
texancruzer Posted June 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2010 BIL and SIL just returned from 11 day trip to Italy...... they stayed at the Waldorf 3 nights before heading to Positano......then they came back to Rome and stayed at another hotel in the historic area. While they said the Waldorf was nice, it was a hassle getting to the sights and they enjoyed the other hotel more since it was in a more strategic locale. dog Posted June 7, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 7, 2010 Hi Betty, I like the Pantheon area. There is a hotel I'm staying at there called the del Senato. I'll let you know how it works out. dog:)
dog Posted June 7, 2010 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2010 Betty, I just checked the del Senato and it only lists double beds/not king, even for the suites. Many european beds are really two twins put together to make a double. They are actually a bit larger than N. Am. doubles. Sorry, I'm no help here. dog
