There is one tiny advantage.

 

The symbol will be printed on your SeaPass card instead of being a sticker. No chance of it falling off.

No advantage, unless you want to pay for it in advance, instead of putting it on your shipboard account.

For me it was just one more thing to pay off instead of have on my account. And it was printed on the card.

From what I was told - when you buy the soda package in Miami you pay Miami sales tax. Ever notice that the price of beer while we are in Miami is different than when out to sea.

 

We ordered the soda package for our 3 day cruise and it came to $20.70.

No tax there. $6 x 3 = $18 + 15% gratuity = $20.70

I understand how they come up with the $20.70, with that said - what is the difference between buying it online prior or buying it in Miami - additional sales tax!!!!;)
