Serenade of the Seas - Balcony Question

Does anyone out there know whether or not adjoining balconies can be opened? I have been on the Carnival Victory and the RC Freedom of the Seas and the room steward was able to unlock and open the door between the two balconies. I have received conflicting reports when calling an agent at RC. One said yes, one said no. I need first hand experience from someone who has been on a Radiance class ship that wanted to open the door between the balconies.

Don't count on the dividers being opened....it's not a "door"...it's a privacy panel...even if they are hinged (and I can't remember if they are or not!), they don't always allow it.

They cannot be opened. We had adjoining balconies w/ our friends, and the dividers were not made to be opened between balconies. Sorry.

I want to confirm that at least on deck 7, the balconies on the Serenade cannot be opened (I was in cabin 7540).

We had a balcony on the Serenade on the 10th floor and you could not open up the balcony's. We are going on the Freedom in January though and we have an adjoining room wondering if we CAN open up the balconies to the two rooms?

Yes, on the Freedom of the Seas we were able to have the steward open up our balconies for us.
