libtrek Posted June 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2010 New to HAL. Have been trying to figure out difference between "regular" verandah suite vs. deluxe verandah suite. Will be on NB Inside Passage, Ryndam, August 29. I see in one place you get priority boarding, but can't tell if that's for reg or lux, or both. Same with Mariner luncheon upon boarding. Thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify. We, of course, saved some $$$ and just went regular verandah suite. Libtrek
Rare TracieABD Posted June 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2010 This biggest difference seems to be access to the Neptune Lounge. You can only visit it if you are in a delux verandah suite.

Krazy Kruizers Posted June 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2010 You will not have priority embarkation or priority tendering or priority dismebarkation. Yes -- if the dining room is open you can go there for lunch between Noon and 1:30.
libtrek Posted June 20, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted June 20, 2010 Hmmm, guess I've been spoiled by Platinum on Carnival. Sure was hoping for that priority boarding. Noticed there was a gift package to upgrade some services. Looked at the list and tried to price it out. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth 400? Of course the lux veranda costs way more than reg veranda so other than 300 more feet and other goodies, we'll have to live without. Also, is there a chance we might be offered an upgrade for a fee? Any idea of what charge HAL might ask? Would it be a good idea to put a bug about an upsell in our TA's ear. How far out from sailing date? Thanks all Libtrek
