Tell me about your experience with a balcony or suite on Ecstasy

I am wanting one or the other and we have heard they are not worth their money. For you that have had either a balcony cabin or a suite, will you give me your opinions, please?

I think people are talking about the lower category suites, not worth the money because they are obstructed and not much bigger than the regular category 8 balconys.

 

I dont think they meant regular category 8s not worth the money. The balconys are new to Ecstasy since last fall, they were added to the outside of the hull, onto OV cabins, so they are now balconys, 98 new balconys added this way.

As Fly said, the Cat 11 'suites' on the Fantasy class are little more than standard balcony cabins on other ships.

However, the Cat 12 suites are wonderful but quite expensive...

Next question, the balcony cabins, plenty of room on them? Dh was told at his height, 6'3", I am guessing having long legs, he would not have enough room to sit comfortably.

Regular balconys the cabin is 185 s.f. and the balcony 35. s.f. (10 X 3.5)

 

You might want to look at one of the aft extended balconys that are twice as deep and you can even have a lounge type chair, instead of a upright chair.

we had a cat. 12 suite on ecstasy and it was fabulous. we had 3 grandkids with us so it was our only option. we had plenty of room for sure. the balcony spoiled us for any other regular balcony. the kids loved the big tub. nothing was tight in the cabin. yeah, pretty pricey, but had to do it.

We had an ES on th Ecstasy, U97. If we ever book a 12 (or GS, whatever they are now), we will definitely splurge on the ES in the future - the balcony was HUGE. A lounger fit the long way (length wise) with room to spare. Wonderful!
