Using the Cabin Phone as a Message System ?

I heard somewhere that you can use your cabin phone as a message system to let someone else in your party know where you are or where you should meet. Does that mean you can pick up these messages from other phones in various locations throughout the ship? We will be going on the Legend in August.

I don't think so. You only know that there's a message when the red light in your cabin picks up. And the only way I know to access the message is from the phone in your cabin.

And you cant record a message for others on them either.

However, you can call from other phones into cabin to leave a message, came in handy for other family members in other cabins. Never tried from a hallway phone though.

I believe you can call and check your messages from other phones. I know for certain we did it on RCCL and pretty sure we have on Carnival.

I'm not sure there were instructions anywhere, I think I tried to use it like I do my work voicemail (pressed * when the recording started). We're sailing on the 24th so I'll be happy to let you know if it worked!
