what time are cabins ready?

This is our first on Princess - usually use RCCL. Wondering what time cabins will be ready? We plan on boarding CB around 11:00 - 11:30 and wanted to carry on most of our luggage but if cabins won't be ready until later we will check them. On RCCL they weren't ready until around 1 - 2. We've been very pleased with RCCL but are looking forward to trying something new! We sail 8/7 Canada/New England from NYC. Thanks for the help!

I agree with Paul and Mike, no waiting with Princess to occupy your stateroom. The last day of your cruise on Princess, you must vacate your stateroom by 8:00 AM, which gives the room stewards time to have the staterooms cleaned by the time the new passengers board.

BUT, watch the size of the luggage you plan to carry on. It must fit through the scanners at boarding or you will be asked to check it in with the porters. A large carry on size bag is about all that will fit through those boarding scanners. Larger luggage must be checked and delivered. Enjoy!

we just returned Sunday from our curise on the Sapphire Princess to Alaska. We boarded on 6/20 before 1130 and were able to go straight to our cabin which was ready.

Our checked luggage arrived in our rooms before 2pm without a problem.

Have a great trip

On Princess cabins are ready for you. We take carry-ons to cabin upon boarding - no lugging them around like on RCCL. Then go to lunch in whichever dining room is open. When we get back, our checked luggage is usually there. If not, we go exploring and come back later.

Have a great time.
