Rare Lois R Posted July 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2010 My girlfriend presses most of clothes. She is first time cruiser. Wants to know what she has to do to get her clothes pressed. I know no travel irons allowed. Any advice from more experienced cruisers?:D They have pressing available through the ship. I don't know the prices but if something needs to pressed? That would be the way to go. I always pack using drycleaner bags. They are fantastic in preventing wrinkles. The plastic acts as a buffer and they really work:)
Az's Cruising Nana Posted July 7, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 7, 2010 I finally gave in last cruise and sent out clothes that needed to be pressed. It was well worth every penny. Tell her to quit trying to pack perfectly it just doesn't work. Sue
eandj Posted July 7, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2010 There is a laundry price list on the X FAQ page on their web site. You send it with your room steward in the morning. 24 hour turn around in most cases. My Dh has his suit cleaned and pressed the first day as it is cheaper to do onboard than at home. Your girlfriend should not overfill her bags and she should use dry cleaning bags or tissue paper to separate clothes that tend to wrinkle more. That will make them slide not stick on each other. As soon as you get your bags, unpack. Usually most wrinkles will fall out. Also advise her to buy a bottle of wrinkle remover to spray on tougher wrinkles.
