Really last minute price falls

Hello! Would appreciate your advice! My husband and I would like to take a cruise on one of the Royal Caribbeans starting on 7th or 8th August. The prices have been going down, but still not enough for me to get the cabin category I would like. In your experience, will the prices in the last two weeks go even further down or not?

From my experience, the lowest prices are 30-60 days out. Whenever I look at last minute sailings, the prices seem to raise during the last 2 weeks because they've already attracted enough people. If I were you, I'd book whatever category you can afford right now, than if the price drops, upgrade. But this way you'll still get to go in the event the ship sells out before the price drops.

I doubt the prices will go down further. And if they do the lowest price rooms could be gone. Don't forget if you wait till the last minute and you need to fly the prices might be offset with higer airline fares.

....since there has been a fare drop, I would expect that cabin categories would fill up and close......

If I were you, I would book it now. Most cruise lines will refund you or offer upgrades if the prices drop on the category room you purchase. I also recommend you do a guaranteed room if they have it. You can buy the cabin category you want but you don't get your assignment until closer to sailing. If there is an upgrade available, you may get it. We've been quite lucky with these guaranteed rooms.

Have a Great Trip :)
