Pacific Pearl Dome

Just keep in mind that "the dome" on the Pacific Dawn was absolutely nothing like what it is now, it actually looked rather ordinary up there prior to the refit, I believe it had poker machines throughout it and no nice decorating or dancefloor at all.

Pacific Pearl will pretty much be the exact same thing as the Pacfic Dawn as far as feel and purpose, they'll just probably change the design and decor to distinguish from the Dawn.

Knowing how popular and essential the dome was on the dawn, I'm sure a great deal of effort and money will be placed on this area for the pearl.

The dome on Regal and Crown Princess was the Casino. It was vast and occupied the centre of the dome. There was a ring of seats around the outside where you could sit and watch the view, and these were partitioned off with screens so you could not see into the casino. However you could hear it. Bells and whistles were constantly ringing and every few minutes the Wheel of Fortune would call out to everyone. A bar was against the wall as you entered and there was a small dance floor, but they only had the likes of a pianist and singer up there.

Excellent pic Thied. That's like it's been every sail-away I've been on her over the last 5 years.

You can also see what I meant about the windows and lounge raised above so some people stand inside and look out..

It's great when we tender in as you can stand there and watch the chain come up with the anchor as the deck below is open unlike all modern cruise ships that just have a small crew pool!!

Standing above the bridge gives a proper view.

Your first post of the inside of Bayside for orientation purposes is taken from the port side looking towards the rear starboard side of the club. On thr right is the bar area, out of shot to the left is the large gym area, about the same size as what you can see in the pic again..
