Set up a photobucket account. Use the links provided, and click on the above icon, that looks like a postage stamp with a moutain and yellow sky on the above choices.. see, its the next one after the blue link thingee, right before the quote icon.

You will get a popup showing it should be in http format, erase the http and put the copied link adddy in the pop up.

I was going to say the same thing, but with Webshots. Both are free.

Firefly, I love your "technical" lingo. That's the way I think of those icons.

Is the pic supposed to show in post before I click the reply button or just the url?

Go to advanced, that way there is a preview button so you can see if it works.

The url needs to be pasted into the pop up. Here is your picture

lol next we can talk about resizing. I upload my pics smaller ....go to edit on photobucket. There used to be a way to resize on photobucket for already uploaded pics too. You dont want them so large people have to scroll across to see them.

No significance with these pictures - just a test to see if, following your instructions, I could get mine to work. I've also been having a lot of trouble trying to get pictures attached - thank all of you so much for your help. It worked! The pictures are from Cozumel on our Miracle cruise in 2006. Thanks again for the help and thanks to the OP for posting the question.
