Number of formal nights?

Hi,

 

Does anyone know how many formal, semi formal and smart casual nights there are on a 35 night cruise?

Don't know about a 35 night cruise - but on our coming up soon 40 nights on Oriana, it is 13 FORMAL , 9 SEMI-FORMAL and 19 CASUAL :eek::eek:. Unless my maths is wrong, that looks like close to 2 formals a week??? :eek::eek:

2 formals a week is certainly normal for two week cruises. They obviously maintain this for longer trips.

 

The menu is better on formal nights so they must keep the menus rolling regardless of length of trip too.

In what way are the menus better on formal nights? - I guess that is subjective but am still interested. ( Sorry if this sidetracks the OP)

The menus are definitely better on formal nights. There maybe fillet steak, lobster, etc

With all the cutbacks I think it's just the one formal night you get that option Brian. The formal dinners on our last 3 cruises have been pretty disappointing compared with how they used to be.
