casino star Posted July 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2010 How good are the shops on the Crown Princess? It's my wifes birthday when we are onboard. Am I going to be able to buy her some jewelery or a watch maybe or is the selection on board limited? Any help appreciated - we leave on Wednesday so am panicing slightly! The shops are basically the same as they have on other Princess ships. There is a place to get watches, jewelry, purfume and makeup, and of course your sundries and t-shirts. Selection is decent, but not robust. If they have it on display, you can get it. Got DW a watch on the Crown last year. I would not worry. Also, if you ask they will try an find a bow or something to make it look more like a wrapped gift. sunsetbeachgal Posted July 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2010 The jewelry store has some lovely things-I bought a nice Citrine necklace on board during one of the sales. You will love the Crown-she is a beauty!

Rare geoherb Posted July 26, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 26, 2010 The best idea before spending much money is to know what you want and what it would cost you at home. If you have an Internet package, you may be able to check out prices while on the ship.
curlerguy Posted July 26, 2010 #8 Share Posted July 26, 2010 My DW found the shops on the Crown last year more than once. She spent so much I'm surprised we can afford to cruise again this year. :D I'm not sure how I can keep her away from them but am working on a plan. Shogun Posted July 26, 2010 #9 Share Posted July 26, 2010 Hi There As to shops the on board prices appear not to bad overall, some things are cheaper than back home others not. Selection overall is good for a cruise ship. yours Shogun
