Thank you. Stefano at RomeCabs will pick you up and give you an excellent Rome tour with return to the ship but the cost will be similar. Check RomeCabs.com. We loved using him and consider him well worth the cost. Real door to door service in clean, comfortable Mercedes vans. J.
Martita B. Posted July 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2010 I used Stefano last Oct. and I agree with Jim ~ (RomeCabs) the cost is well worth the rate, as his company is the best. You might invite another couple to share your private day excursion into Rome. Martita B
Foxberry Posted July 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2010 We have used Stefano's company 8 times in the last 5 years for transfers from the airport to our hotel and to the port and for private tours in and around Rome. He uses late model clean MB vans and sedans. His drivers have always been friendly English speaking gentlemen. Stefano himself took us for a lovely evening drive of the city after he picked us up from dinner one night at no additional charge. With no bags to tote you can also take the train from the port area to the Termini station, there is an express train that takes about an hour for around 10 euro. I think the only issue to think about with respect to the train is can you deal with the luggage. Keith
