The ship is heading to the Polar Ice Cap, with hopes of finding it. I wonder how close to the North Pole they'll get???
Himself Posted August 5, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2010 Regarding the Princendam, Rev. Greg Neal is doing a live thread from this ship and he can give you exact location. Yesterday--Wednesday--I kept checking the weather at the Alaskan Ports I visited three weeks ago. I never saw any weather above sixty until I got to Ketchikan. Today, Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan were all in the high sixties. The lesson? I should have gone from July 31-August 7th. David, thanks once again for keeping us abrest. suzeqvhf Posted August 5, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2010 We sailed on the Amsterdam through Alaska the first two weeks of July and the lesson I learned is that getting away from the Northeast heat wave made the early July 70 degree weather in Anchorage all the more sweet. Where can I go next year to cool off?
