Port or Starboard for Iceland / British Isles Cruise

Hello!

For those of you who have sailed to Iceland, which side of ship would be facing land? Port or Starboard?

Considering a TA cruise on the Jewel OTS to Iceland and British Isles and I am trying to decide what cabin to book.

Any help / info is appreciated.

Thank you!

You so rarely see land and ship position while in port differs as well. It is pretty much impossible to tell about which side is better for a whole cruise. On a TA you may be more interested in having sun or not on your balcony. If so starboard East Port West for sun.

Which side of the British Isles are you going up.....are you visiting Ireland, and going to the Greenock side of Scotland, or is it up the east coast through the North Sea, to Edinburgh? If it's the former, you'll need port cabins to see the Irish coast, but further north it won't matter so much, as you're in the big sea loch for Glasgow, and in between the islands after that. If it's the latter, you'll have England on the port side, but any side for the sea loch into Edinburgh.

Sorry, don't know about Iceland.

Jo.
