No planned excursion?

If we decide against a planned excursion in Ocho Rios, does anyone have any recommendations of what we can do on our own? It will just be myself and my husband.

I never use an excursion in Ocho - I just hop a taxi to DRF ($10 pp) and spend part of the day: 2 to 3 hours. You CAN do this on your own with no tour and no guide.

 

Or - go to the Ruins for lunch - again just get in a JUTA taxi...or better yet get in a JUTA taxi and ask the driver to take you to their favorite Jerk place (and wait for you)...

I would either do a planned excursion or stay on the ship.

 

I woud not just take a taxi. I know some people do that but I would not do that in Ocho Rios.
