Brooklyn Cruise terminal longshoreman 60 no shows

Hey Sid - is that you they are quoting? Were you on that cruise?

its me they are quoting but I was passing by the dock not on the ship. I ate lunch at Fairway and passed the cruise terminal entrance at about 2. It was a real zoo...

I wonder why the longshoremen keep calling in sick. If not mistaken, they get paid $120.00 an hour. Are they asking for something in particular that they are not getting? Therefore calling in sick in lieu of a strike?

 

We were there in mid July and had no issues upon boarding the ship or while getting of the ship. In fact, upon arriving at the terminal, the longshoreman gave us some quick tips in order to get through the line quicker.

$120 an hour?! Holy Spit Batman. I don't make anywhere near that and I'm an RN in an ICU with a lot of knowledge and responsibilities. I guess I'm in the wrong profession!

 

PS: Remind me again why we tip them???
