Himself Posted August 6, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Thanks for the update, David. You and your bride have a wonderful cruise. In Lisa you have picked a wonderful "pinch-hitter." And welcome back Lisa. I see the Westerdam is in Dublin, the Capital city of Ireland--the land of my ansestors. Three weeks ago, I was in Victoria where I saw more big rabbits than I have ever seen in my life and they were all on the campus of the University of Victoria. Himself Posted August 6, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2010 It is now 2:01 PM in Alaska and if from now until the end of the day you go to http://www.kroooz-cams.com and click on the United States, Juneau will come up and you will see the beautiful and elegant m.s. Volendam docked in Juneau. She parks in front of the Juneau memorial. This is posted in memory of the men who were assigned to the Juneau when she was sunk in (I believe) November of 1942. Among the sailors who perished were the five Sullivan brothers of Waterloo, Iowa. I always stop at that memorial for a few minutes. Today, the AMSTERDAM is parked in front of it and the Volendam is parked where the Rotterdam always ties up.
