232271 Posted August 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2010 I am trying to plan my excursions and need to know HOW EARLY do you have to be BACK on the ship on PORT days? I cant remember from line to line, all blurring together: IS IT 30 MINUTES or 60 MINUTES for Royal Caribbean?? this will help us know if we have more or less time for shopping, ect... THANKS!! (sorry so such a simple question:rolleyes:, but appreciate the answer:D)
Aquahound Posted August 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2010 Usually, the suggested return time is 30 minutes, but I've seen them say as close as 15 minutes before.
dalitos Posted August 9, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2010 I clearly remember 30 minutes.
linkerbink Posted August 9, 2010 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2010 They usually have a sign at the gangway when you disembark, "reminding" you of the required return time.
BND Posted August 9, 2010 #5 Share Posted August 9, 2010 I've only seen 30 minutes.
Bristol5 Posted August 9, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2010 I have another question along the same line...when going ashore on our own can we take towels for the beach from the ship or do we need to pack our own Beach towels?
suezyq50 Posted August 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2010 We never pack our own towels. They take up too much space. You can use the ship's towels. Of course, just don't want to lose them. You will be charged.
Creepella Posted August 9, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Take the towels from the ship, just make sure to bring them back. ;)
sailingawaysoon Posted August 9, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 9, 2010 I would use the towels on the ship and save some of that space in your luggage for things you might decide to bring home. Also, the time is 30 mins back on board (recommended). Don't forget to keep your watch set on ship time, not the time you see in Port. They will make announcement reminders stating all this, several times. I understand the confusion though. Have a wonderful cruise!
