trainman62 Posted August 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2010 We have heard that there is a "yellow line" that one can follow from St. Mark's to walk to the Rialto Bridge. Anyone have any information as to whether there is, in fact, this yellow line and how to find it? Thanks.
euro cruiser Posted August 8, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2010 I don't remember a yellow line, but you really can't miss finding San Marco. There are signs with arrows pointing to San Marco on just about every corner.
dileep Posted August 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2010 It is an easy and scenic walk too. We had no trouble following the signs.

But if you go on Google Maps and click directions you can get detailed turn by turn walking directions. On Google Maps click the walking icon and enter San Marco, Venice Italy in the From Box and Rialto Bridge, Venice Italy in the To Box. You will get 3 alternate routes to choose from, each about .4 mi. But remember, part of the joy of Venice is getting lost for a while.
cruisedad521 Posted August 8, 2010 #6 Share Posted August 8, 2010 I don't think there is a yellow line, but the signs are in yellow I believe. You can find the way easily by the signs mentioned above (Per Rialto and Per San Marco depending which direction you are heading) and the throngs of people moving between the 2 points. Rare Keith1010 Posted August 8, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 8, 2010 As others have said the key is to follow the signs and you will be able to find it. Keith
financialgrl Posted August 9, 2010 #8 Share Posted August 9, 2010 If you are staying there longer than a short port stop (at least a day or so), better yet, just start wandering. Some of the best fun we had was getting lost in little out of the way places. Eventually you always seemed to come out near either St Mark's or Rialto. Many a day we got so lost back in a residential area it wasn't funny - others also trying to find their way back. Like a maze but eventually you come out near something you'll recognize. Have fun! FKGirl Posted August 9, 2010 #9 Share Posted August 9, 2010 But remember, part of the joy of Venice is getting lost for a while. Very true... and VERY easy to get lost wandering the wonderful streets of Venice. Of course, it is really well marked and easy to find both San Marco and the Rialto. http://www.FloridaKeysGirl.com
