Good resturant close to dock

Looking for a good resturant close to where the tenders will drop us off. Don't want to go too far in, just me for lunch, everyone else fishing. Would love to go to a place that has local food!!

I don't have a recommendation but wanted to note that there are lots of restaurants and stores within just a few minute walk of the tender pier.

These two places are nothing fancy, but have local food and are not far from the tender area:

 

Corita's Copper Kettle

"Miss Corita has been cooking up authentic local Caribbean specialities from a time long before George Town became the vibrant financial centre it is today. Her main restaurant is located downtown in the historical Copper Kettle Building, though it is so well know now as Corita's Copper Kettle Building that if you are asking for directions to her restaurant you are better off using her name. The food is wholesome and delicious and Corita herself always has a ready smile or laugh for you."

Old Gaol Cafe

It's about 2 blocks to the right of where you exit the tender, upstairs by steps or elevator. Just across from his clothing store.

has good fish dishes. You can see it from the smaller tender dock, or jsut a few blocks along the waterfront from the Royale Walther(?) tender dock.

Corita's Copper Kettle is my usual recommendation for genuine "local" dining in the downtown area.

 

A longish walk, or short pedal cab ride, to Eastern Avenue brings you to Champion House II with a variety of local fare.
