The cruise lines depend on liquor consumption for their profits. If there are minors in the cabin, it can be requested for the steward to lock the minibar and give the key to an adult. I stand corrected. We've only done Royal Caribbean of late and my room steward has emptied the mini-bar so I never really knew if there were some liquor bottles tucked in their.
