Tea on board-what kinds

DW is looking to find the kinds of teas (tea bags) that are available. Especially desired are herbal teas. Is anyone else a tea fanatic and know the kinds to be found?

I am not a tea fanatic but have a heck of a time choosing one from the many they offer during the afternoon tea. I am sure your wife will be pleased with the selection.

On the starboard side of the Terrace Cafe is where you can find tea bags and an urn of hot water...available most of the day, I believe.

Also available during meals & afternoon tea in Horizons

Early morning in Horizons before 11 am they also have tea, coffee & pastries

No shortage for eats ;)

And of course there room service

I believe they serve Twinings, and have most of the "normal" selections as you would expect, including herbal and English breakfast. If you want something specific or unusual, pack some of your own. I prefer a Kenyan blend, and just pack some in my luggage. Hope this helps. :)

DW is - as we speak - packing...I'm staying out of the way . She already has a ziplock bag filled with her favorite teas).

Maybe you'll be even more impressed...we are going to attempt to fit everything for our 20 day vacation into 2 - count 'em - two checked bags and 2 small carryon bags. Miracles will happen :D

(We are taking the advice gleaned from these boards..."take half as much stuff and twice as much money....")

We always only take 2 checked bags & 1 carry -on for at least 30 day trips each bag was under 40 lbs ..don't see a problem

You just need to visit the laundry room a few times or pay for the laundry service ...a personal choice

I downsized on my May cruise, also a 20-day vacation, to one checked bag, which was my former allowance on all our European land trips (mostly rail trips) before we started cruising two years ago. My incentive was that we were embarking in Venice after a few days pre-cruise visit there. It was so liberating!

Two suitcases & one duffel, plus a small carry on for DW's oxygen equipment. Oh, and a back pack for her netbook and meds. Usually disembark with half of the clothing not worn. The 02/2011 sailing on the Marina will be different.

Important thing to remember is that no one(well almost no one) expects a new outfit every day of the cruise.

We travel with one suitcase each (24 inch) and one carry on each for meds, camera etc.

We have cotton/polyester knit shirts that dry overnight and three do us for the entire trip. We pretty well wear the same button down shirt and slacks to dinner each night with maybe one change if it is a long cruise. Women are lucky as the can accessorize with scarves and jewelery to have variety.

Think one color and mix and match.

There are robes in the stateroom although we take shorts and a t-shirt to wear in the cabin to keep clothes cleaner and less wrinkled.

One important rule, always hang things up and smooth them out. Slacks thrown over the chair will not be fit to wear the next day.

We spend maybe $35-50 per cruise on the laundry service.
