Urban renewal cairo style

Well they have to do something. Cairo is busting at the seams. I think the new cities offer some breathing room for those that will be able to afford it. After visting almost all the big cities of the world (I traveled extensively before starting to cruise), I can say that Cairo is one of the cities I could never live in.

I wonder if it may actually be a good thing in the long run...... I'm sure many of us remember when everyone was fleeing the big cities here in the US in the 1970s and early 1980s. NYC was a mess; Atlanta was full of slums and crime. Things have turned around in many big cities. Perhaps Cairo's time will come....

Did a river cruise in the Normandy region that was great..........just did Jamaica (Sandals Whitehouse) and then will go on a Princess Cruise in March. Time is getting much too short:eek:
