Ships Nassau beach excursion?

I am going to be on the Monarch in October. Has anyone did the Nassau beach excursion that the ship offers? If so, how was it? Ideas are very welcome!!

I've found 99 times out of 100, it's cheaper to just take a cab to whatever beach you want to go to. That way, you come and go on your own schedule - you can stay longer if you like, or return early if someone is ill - and you have the flexibility to research the area and go where you like rather than where the cruise line is charging you a huge markup to go.

There is a public beach not too far from Atlantis....cab ride is the only cost.

In Nassau I take the bus ($1.25/pp) yes they take US,
