cutiediva Posted August 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2010 I have a question regarding a price reduction for our upcoming cruise. We are not at final payment. I noticed on Tuesday that the cost of our cruise went down 20$ pp and we e-mailed our TA asking her to show the reduction on our invoice. I just heard from her and she said that we got a total price drop of 438$ ):confused::confused: When I look at the Carnival site, it does not show such a big reduction. I am surprised and happy, but curious. Does anybody know why there is such a big drop. I am 150% sure that it has nog=thing to do woth our agent or the agency. Thanks Linda
okwriter Posted August 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2010 I'm guessing it's a mistake. Has your TA sent you anything in writing that reflects the new rate?

Thanks Linda Did your TA write it like that...438$ ? Perhaps she meant to write $38. Her commission off of $40 might be $2. Just guessing. Please come back and let us know. That's some drop! cutiediva Posted August 25, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted August 25, 2010 Sorry, my typing is bad, the amount of the price drop should be 238$, not 438$. Still, it was 200$ more than I expected. When I look at our cruise documents on the Carnival site, it does have the reduced amount. As I mentioned earlier, this is the 2nd time this type of price reduction has occured in the last month...the first one was for 469$. So, I guess each time I see a price drop for 10$ - 20$ pp, I will forward it to my TA and see what happens. Linda

Linda I think you might have mistyped again, @ that reduced of a price they would be paying you to cruise:D Don't worry, happens to the best of us.
