On his first cruise, my dh won $1000.00 on video poker.

Was on a cruise when a guy had the option of a BMW or $25,000. I think he choose the car. I would have taken the cash personally.

On my first cruise (Holland America) I won $1000 on a dollar slot, 2 nights later won $800 on the same machine. Went home with way more money than anticipated! On my second cruise (same HAL ship) I was waiting for the same dollar slot that I won both times and the person using the machine won $1000. And yes, I pouted about that for a few minutes, lol!

Depends on what you consider big... Hit $8oo on quarter slots on sensation and hit $750 on in room video poker I believe it was Destiny, but may have been elation not sure(long time and lots of caronas ago). Both were a 20 dollar investment, I have given some back but not more than 100 bucks since then. On sensation DW was pregnant, couldnt drink so she asked if we could spend a little time each night on the slots. She would pick a machine and I would sit down next to her and pull the arm and bam jackpot it was a triple diamond machine and killing time before dinner in the cabin while DW was getting all prettied up I put 20 bucks on S&S to play video poker and hit a straight flush 9-Q of clubs.Since I am not a big gambler to me that was hitting big.

I won $28 on one cruise and they gave me 2 free drink coupons and have spent far more than that in losses since then.

My wife won $2500 on our last Conquest cruise 18 months ago. She really paid for our last minute decision to cruise that time! Hoping she can do that again in November.

They have the 3-card bonus bet...I hit a 3-card straight diamond flush on the bonus and it pays 40 to 1, or in my case $200.

 

On my Freedom of the Seas cruise, I drew 3 of a kind as my initial hand and let every bet ride (I had the $1 bonus bet as well as the 3-card bonus bet covered too!).

 

The first hole card flipped was the 4th...I won $1,000 on that hand.

Our first cruise on the Sensation-- first day-- the casino was opened not even 10 minutes-- and there is my momma sitting at a nickle machine after winning 2500.00.

On our very first cruise I hit a 2500.00 pot on the dollar slots. Then on our 2005 cruise on the Elation, are you ready for this? I hit five jackpots , yes five, on dollar slots and took home 9,000.00. I haven't done that well since. I think they put my name on their red list. LOL!:D

:) Not that big, but on my last Glory cruise I hit for 500. on three different machines on the last night at sea. I know - bucking the trend. Only Cruise where the casino host was actually comping my drinks. (I was playing a lot of slots) Made me whole for the week and enabled me to upgrade to first class on the way home

 

Can't wait to get at those Dream machines in Feb.:cool:

Well -- technically, my wife turned $50 worth of chips into $65,000 at the black jack tables on one of our NCL cruises.

 

Sadly, it was all amassed during the week-long black jack tournament, so the money was just for play -- although she did walk away with $500 in REAL cash (and a t-shirt) as the winner of the tournament. Best part -- she had NEVER played black jack in a casino before!

About 6 years ago I donated about $50 to a casino cruise out of Port Canaveral and the very next day I took DD to an amusement park and hit 7-7-7 on their "slot machine" and got about 500 tickets... All it got me was a cheap stuffed animal at the prize counter... :mad:

Two years ago on our first cruise, the Legend, I hit the jackpot on the last night playing video poker. Won $1200 on the royal flush. Just about paid for our cruise. Hope I do that well this September on the Legend again :D It's fun, but don't plan on playing that much this time. Need to pay off the cruise for next March :)

Cashed out over 1200 on the elation. Won 5700 on the pride. Spend most of my free time in the casino. Won 64000 at an Indian casino.

We were in Grand Cayman and were on the "Feed the Stingrays" tour. The guide told us that if a stingray kissed you, it was good luck.

 

A stingray came right up out of the water, up my wife's chest and actually onto her face. She kissed a stingray.............that night she won $2,500 at a slot machine, and I won $2,500 on another slot machine as well. This was the Carnival Inspiration in March, 2009.

In the grand scheme of things it wasn't a lot, but I hit $32 on the penny slots one night. Too bad it wasn't 3200 quarters.

Mrs. Kujobie won the slot tournament on our last cruise. $500, t-shirt, polo shirt, and trophy. Cool thing was we were platinum, so our entry was complimentary. We didn't spend a penny.

We won $2400 on a nickel slot. If we'd been betting the max it would have been $10K. We were thrilled, but could have been more thrilled with the max bet.
