roszel Posted September 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2010 Has anyone done a glass bottom boat tour while in Bonaire? If so please tell me if you get to see much sea life, coral, etc? What is your opinion of the tour. Thanks. Any suggestions regarding tour companies?
Nanatravel Posted September 7, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2010 Has anyone done a glass bottom boat tour while in Bonaire? If so please tell me if you get to see much sea life, coral, etc? What is your opinion of the tour. Thanks. Any suggestions regarding tour companies? We did with Aquaspace. It is on a tri-hulled glass bottom boat designed for Jacques Custeau. It was just renovated when we went, however, it was not the greatest. First and foremost which was out of their control, was a Hurrican had only passed through the island within weeks of our sailing. Thus the coral, fish and sea life where minimal at best. Very disapointing. Second, due to the hurricane the efforts to get her Sea Worthy, they did not have any air conditioning in the glass bottom hull. Now this might not seem like an issue, but even in November it is very hot there (near the equator) and you only could stay down about 10 minutes or you would roast! I will find the link: http://www.aquaspace-bonaire.com It was a nice sail off the shore of Bonaire and Klein Bonaire.
