Spain tourist visa is not required for citizens of United States for a stay up to 90 days.

Spain now requires advanced passenger information for all flights, check your airline's website for details.

We have flown many times from the UK to Spain with Monarch, BA and Easyjet and have to fill in the API on line which is literally just your full name, passport number and date of birth. I can't imagine it's any different for someone coming from the USA but then again I could be wrong:)
