marti11 Posted September 19, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 19, 2010 Has anyone been in the 4K rooms, any rooms with better views than others, how much view is really blocked? Looks like that is what we are going to get, we are in the inside guar. and all insides are gone for our sailing.
firefly333 Posted September 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2010 Any cabin starting with a 4 is a inside cabin. So, carnival doesnt have any obstructed oceanviews ... so they seem like a decent value to me. Im dying to have a 4K, but spririt class ships havent been where Im going out of, and no other ships have them. Iv heard the first three have the tallest muster boats in front, dont pick them. try and look at the deck plans and get as close to between muster boats as you can. Kerryman50 Posted September 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2010 We stayed in cabin 4194 on The Miracle, loved it for the price we paid.
carnivaljunkie Posted September 19, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2010 The 4Ks are great we have had two. If you look on a ship diagram you can see that some are completely blocked by lifeboats and some are between lifeboats. There is only a view down when completely blocked but there is enough space between to see straight out. The french doors open and there is a railing you can lean on. You get outside air and light. Irishlinny Posted September 19, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 19, 2010 Ours kids had 3 of these on the Miracle in May...get one toward the back if possible. There are a few that really are only windows, but most have french doors that open (but you can't go outside). Much better than an inside coz you get light and fresh air, but the price of an inside;) As has been said, look at the deck plans and try to get one in between the life boats for a bit of a view...otherwise your view is a lifeboat.... AZ Karaoke Girl Posted September 19, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 19, 2010 I think some of you are being confused between the 7a's that are obstructed balconies (they have a lifeboat in front of you but you can look straight out.) The 4K's have a lifeboat directly in front of you. The only way you can see straight out is if you get a cabin that is between the lifeboats. 4194 is one of them. I had 4194 on the Pride. I like the 4K's and if I cannot afford a balcony, I get the 4K. I would rather have a 4K on the Spirit class than an ocean view on any deck. I would rather have a door that opens for fresh air with a slight view than just a window to look through.
firefly333 Posted September 19, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2010 I still want one. Id rather hear the ocean, with the window open then have a balcony. Its on my wish list.
Lib0007 Posted September 19, 2010 #8 Share Posted September 19, 2010 I also stayed in 4194 on the Miracle and would do it again. You have a nice view between the lifeboats. I loved opening the doors up to feel the breeze .. . and most of all, I loved the inside price.
marti11 Posted September 20, 2010 Author #9 Share Posted September 20, 2010 Thanks for all of the imput. As we have a guar. not sure if we will get a choice of room number, but I think the room will be great, I also like to have the fresh air and not the price of the balcony. WillieD13 Posted September 20, 2010 #10 Share Posted September 20, 2010 A question. You don't clearly state what you want. Do you want a good view, a balcony, and inexpensive price, or some combination of those? My interpretation was that you are mostly concerned with a view and price, in which case take the oceanview cabins on deck 1.
Schoifmom Posted October 21, 2010 #11 Share Posted October 21, 2010 Does anyone know what size these cabins are? We are considering on on the Pride for next year. Are they the standard 185 sq ft like an inside, or are they 220 like an oceanview? Thanks!
