No Comment Cards, How to Compliment Staff?

Stand by... you'll get an email, at the address associated with the booking, that will include a like to a survey...

:)

How long after the sailing should one expect this email? We got off the Destiny 9 days ago (9/11/10) and have not received anything yet - nor has DGP1111 (Don) who was on our sailing.

We both have compliments and constructive criticisms to share.

From those who have gotten them it appears that it will be ten days to two weeks...

Now that there are no more comment cards....I plan to leave a letter at the end of the cruise on my Platinum stationary!!!

Now of course you want to make sure Carnival corporate gets to see it too. ;)

We had one room steward, not our own, who really went above and beyond to save the evening when our daughter was crying and cranky. She did a complete 180 because of his contribution, and I want to make sure that he is acknowledged. :)

That's funny, we got off the Spirit on Tuesday the 14th,

e-mail came on the 17th.

Filled out out the survey and done that evening.

They need to get on that better, while the cruise is still fresh

If I hadn't taken notes for the review, I might not have remembered everything I was going to put on the comment card

I do love the idea of leaving a letter at the end, I wonder if it would carry any weight when it comes to Staff being credited with praise, raise, promotion or....

I also praised those serving us in the MDR, to the Maitre D

not only our server,

but one we had, had on the Dream, letting him know what a peach he had in her too.

I heard CCL is getting further and further from being Crew Friendly

(I heard it from a crew member who has been with them for almost 10 years, so they will retire soon)

and so looking forward to retiring, because it has been getting less and less crew friendly.

I can't tell you how many fine people we have seen leave Carnival... some, just because it was time for them to "go back to real life", though several others who were leaving due to deteriorating conditions. They are stuck in the middle, to be sure. (EDIT: My guess is that such is not limited to CCL - I have seen and heard of similar changes with Celebrity)
