Thomson's shore excursions to Athens...

Hi,

 

Just wondering if anyone has done a shore excursion to Athens with Thomsons?

 

There seems to be two that are quite similar, but they both say they are for 4 hours. We're apparently down to be in the port for 10 hours. I dont want to go to athens for only part of the day and waste the rest of the day.

 

Can anyone confirm that the athens excursions are for only part of the day (and which part)? If so, I may have to do some last minute research on getting from the port to athens by ourselves...

lil- if you want to do Athens by yourself, it's really easy. Come out from the terminal, keeping on the harbour side, until you reach a bridge to the station....cross over, and buy a ticket to central Athens. You'll see the Acropolis above you. Just follow the crowds from the ship!

If you search this site, you'll find lots of answers to do-it-yourself. It's about 20mins walk from the ship.
