steeners81 Posted October 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2010 I just got off the Liberty on Saturday and had a fantastic time. I am in the middle of writing a review with pictures and the fun times but if anyone has any questions about the ship now I will be happy to answer them (if I can)

TracersQQ Posted October 4, 2010 #9 Share Posted October 4, 2010 I was on this cruise, as well - I'm glad to see others enjoyed it as much as we did. I was at guest services, Friday afternoon (Gil, apparently at the same time the dolphins were swimming with us because when I was finished everyone was starboard and very excited and I later found out this was why), and there was a man really giving guest services a hard time about how dirty the ship was and the crew was unfriendly and the food was horrible and his room steward was horrible. I wondered if we were actually on the same ship, or did he get on the wrong ship in Cozumel, lol. I realize everyones taste are different, but come on, I can't believe he encountered all of those things.

Gil40 Posted October 5, 2010 #11 Share Posted October 5, 2010 The ship was really really clean, food? No issues, everything was A1 in the MDR and every where on the ship. The staff? Notyhing to say as of an exception on a stupid photographer who was rude on the first formal night. I really enjoyed the cruise, the morning we could'nt go to Caymans, went to the casino and my first .75$ cent bet give me 810$ !!! My sign and sail was paid! I did the "behind the fun" tour, really enjoyed it!! the only negative point: If you are booking the steakhouse throught internet, make sure to bring a copy of the reservation confirmation with you. Even if I have a confirmation, they didn't have any record of my reservation. So make sure to print a copy of your confirmation and brng it with you! Other than that little thing, everthing was perfect!! Can't wait for the next one!
dcrthatsme Posted October 5, 2010 #12 Share Posted October 5, 2010 I have a question - I've received two different answers to. Can the partitions be opened on the balconies? We have 6 balcony cabins together. One person told me no - and the other said yes but to bring a rubber door stopper because they bang around if not secured. You will need to request it and they will send a person to remove the partitions for you.
steeners81 Posted October 5, 2010 Author #15 Share Posted October 5, 2010 Is Wally B the piano player? If so the little I heard of him was good. Now I am upset I didn’t see the dolphins. We were in Harrys on Friday night so it was prob during that time. I can not imagine anyone complaining I thought everything was excellent. Gil40-I agree with you about the e-mail confirmation that was one thing I was putting in my review. We went up to change our reservations because of the iternary change and they didn’t even have them. We showed them the email but they said they never got them. steeners81 Posted October 5, 2010 Author #17 Share Posted October 5, 2010 What was the change in your itinerary? Did you have to re route due to weather? We were supposed to go: Day 1 -Miami Day 2 -Sea day Day-3 Cozumel Day-4-Sea day Day-5 Grand Caymen Day 6 -Jamaica Day 7-Sea day Because of the tropical storm they reversed the itinerary. Then when we got to grand caymen they closed the port because of bad weather we we went to costa maya the next day. Our new itinerary was: Day 1-Miami Day 2-Sea Day Day 3-Jamaica Day-4-Sea Day Day 5-Costa Maya Day 6-Cozumel Day 7 Sea Day
DJ Ware Posted October 5, 2010 #18 Share Posted October 5, 2010 The cruise was a blast, it was a NON-STOP party for us! We met so many great people. Quite a few people said they were tired of seeing me on the Cruise TV :D Drink Mixologist Winner and runner-up in Hairy Chest Contest (despite not having any )! There is a group of about 30 we met on the ship that are going to plan another cruise together.....

We're you able to eat at Harry's anyway - or did they bump you? We have a reservation for our cruise, and would not want to miss out!:)

golfadj Posted October 11, 2010 #21 Share Posted October 11, 2010 We just left the Liberty on the 9th. Great cruise and very good crew. Wally B was awful. For a further description go to the thread best piano player where I posted a more lengthy review of Wally. Rock band Blood Power was excellent and the comedy club a lot of fun. goodtoglow Posted October 12, 2010 #22 Share Posted October 12, 2010 If you guys have any pictures of Harry's I would appreciate seeing them! My wedding reception will be held in there... the more pictures I can see of it, the better, for deciding what things I should bring to personalize! rdmallory Posted October 12, 2010 #23 Share Posted October 12, 2010 We just got off also. Harry's was a disappointment for us. We ordered surf and turf and the steak was a little dried out for my taste. Lobster was OK but not much bigger then what yo got in the MDR. Now it is a fancy dinner with lots of support staff. The chief comes buy to great you and said he would be back after we ate but never showed. We order the chocolate sampler to share for desert and discovered a BIG BLACK hair in it. I pointed it out to our waitress and she gagged and sent the one over that seated us. She apologized and asked if we wanted another. I told her no I was on a one hair diet. (she did not think it was funny at all) Our table was then avoided by everyone, they acted as if they were embarrassed and did know how to act. After asking for the final bill she told be they would be sending me something to my cabin for the inconvenience. About 9:30 PM that night our cabin steward knows on the door and gives us 4 chocolate covered strawberries. The same ones we saw in the coffee shop earlier for $2.50 for 3. If that was all I could come up with I would of not offered anything. Doug
