Cab ride back to the airport question

Less than two weeks until our trip and we are very excited. :D:D:D

Our TA just informed us that our inter-island flight for our post-cruise stay has been pushed back to 1:15pm. We had originally booked transfers with our package but the TA said that the transfer company no longer offers the 11am option and so would require us to take the 10am transfer.

Leaving 3 1/2 hours before our flight seems like a long time to us (but we could be wrong) and so before we confirm that cancellation, we wanted to get feedback on how easy it might be to find a cab between 11am and 11:30am to get back to the airport, where we go to get the cab and if this allows enough time to arrive for our flight on Air Tahiti. This is the only flight to Tikehau on 11/5.

Thanks for your help. Kimberly

Just in case someone else has the same type of question...

We decided to cancel our transfer and will take a cab at 11am. Our travel agent said that we could have Princess arrange a cab for us. She said we should make the request before we sail away from Tahiti and they will schedule it for us. And as Seal reminded us on our cruise thread, there will be a lot of people being dropped off for the next cruise and so ultimately it shouldn't be a problem for us to get a cab at 11am.

We had purchased a package and were originally not aware of the cost of the transfer. We received a credit of $70 and understand that a taxi will be around $40. It's a win/win. :D

On Oct 6 the cost for two people was 2000 local currency from the cruise port to the airport. It was easy to get a cab, but it was later in the day for us.

Jagoffee

Our flight is not until 10pm that evening so we would need to be at the airport about 7pm. Do you think getting a cab would be easy at that time of day?
