What is your favorite cabin level on Fantasy class

We LOVED our PT cabin on the Main deck forward on our Fascination cruise last week! Same price as an inside cabin with light and a view from the double portholes! We had the very last cabin next to the oceanview ones so closer to midship and no noises whatsoever!

For the same price you could have been on Empress in a PT, which was also quiet. I did a pt, E9 on Empress and middeck HC cabin.

I would not pick Main over Empress unless higher decks were sold out... just my two cents...especially with a PT where there are 4 decks of them on Fantasy class.

Empress rocks....

2 decks up to pool and buffett

2 decks down to bars and dinner

Our PVP doesn't even ask anymore.

We just tell him the cruise he tells us the rate for the Empress deck.

Fantasy Class?

From Empress deck there's a bar right there in the atrium, one deck up to the dining rooms and lower level of the showroom, two up to the Promenade, three up to Lido deck. (Just on Fascination last month)

As far as which deck to stay on, the lower the deck the steadier the ride, so if anyone in your party is subject to motion sickness, lower is better. Same thing for amidship vs. fore-and-aft.

Every cruise we've been on, the cabin has been for sleeping and changing clothes, unless we had a balcony. I promise you'll spend more time on the Lido deck or in the casino, or onshore, or in the dining rooms and buffets, than you will in the cabin - there's so much to do and so little time to do it! ;) (and the elevators are fast enough and capacious enough that you don't have to wait long)

V-deck for me. Like the "isolation" it provides from the rest of the ships cabins. Also, if I dont care to sit on my "ledge" I can go right out the "secret" door down hall from my cabin onto the bridgewing deck. Since I like to use the gym facilitys, its only 1 deck above me.

Motion and noise have no effect on me even thought ive never been bothered with other deck noises from this level, so higher up the better. Its also close to lido. I can use the stairs quicker then elevators. I never use elevators. I have one of these cabins booked for next month.

We're going out of Mobile in November and still haven't been assigned a room. It's our first cruise and have no idea which is the best. I would still like to be midship tho.

What cabin level do you prefer on this class of ship.

TIA!

mid-ship upper deck.

I like the cabins on the Empress deck. I found it to be a quiet area on the Elation.

Another vote for Empress. Just stay away from the rooms under the galley. Lots of noise from above. We were in E-144 and the noise usually starts about 4AM when they start getting ready for breakfast... grinding, dragging, dropping pots and pans, etc. Cabin and cruise was awesome though.

Bumping this up cause we just got our cabin assignment finally.

Well, looks like we are on the upper deck U229

This is an aft inside cabin.

We did need a quad room so this is where they put us.

Would have been nice to be on the empress deck, but what can ya do.

I'm excited just to be on the cruise and was hoping for something midship but this is okay. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions. Maybe the upgrade fairy will call. lol

  • 1 year later...
Cabin E299 on Empress was perfect for us.

Dave,

Was this room any smaller than the other cabins? I booked this room because of the convience to elevators. Our family of four is booked for this room in June. Thanks for your help.
