need help from experienced ES bookers

Here is my situation.

We booked a catagory 8A for 569.00 PP

Right now, carnival is offering 8A's free upgrades to 8C that cost 649.00 per person.

So...what can I get from this situation? I know I can probably get the upgrade, but what about an OBC for the price difference between 569.00 and 649.00.

That doesn't make sense to me, but that is what I was told a few days ago on another thread.

Thanks for the help.

No, the price would have to be less than you paid. You dont get the difference if the price is higher.

If the price was less than $569 pp, say it was at $529 for the 8A that was being upgraded, then you could ask for the upgrade and $40 pp OBC.

I dont see anything in the situation you described, wish I could. Am I misunderstanding, the price is now higher right?

what was told to you on the other thread is incorrect. as fire stated, the price is now higher, you payed less, you don't get that difference. only if the price goes BELOW what you originally paid could you apply for the difference in obc.
