What public venues will allow children at night?

We are sailing on NCL EPIC soon and our son who is 4 1/2 will not be attending the children's program. Not because I don't want to, but he has pretty bad separation issues and will not stay with anyone else but us..

Sadly, it is what it is.. We've tried numerous times before. He just wont go for it. :-(

We chose EPIC because of all of its entertainment options and felt that he would be able to enjoy many of them with us like Cirque and BMG.

But I wonder what he can and can't go into. I woudln't dream of taking him into a night club like Bliss, but I wonder about some of the other places like Howl at the moon, Fat Cats or Oh'Sheehan? Are they Family friendly even though they have bars in them?

Thanks

I have never sailed NCL so I can't advise on that. However, my 6 year old on RCCL last year, did not enjoy the club. He had a Leapster that he brought with him on the trip. Because his birthday was at sea, he received 2 new games for his birthday. We took him to Kareoke, salsa dancing, comedians, production shows etc. He played his Leapster with his headphones. We got to enjoy the entertainment, and he was happy to hang out with us.

Pretty much any venue (except the casino) will allow kids with parents....the "nightclub"/disco may restrict ages, but the main shows are fine for kids (if it's an "adult" show, it will say so!)

All of the entertainment is included.

We are taking our 3 year old next month on the Epic as well.

DD is very clingy... Friends come to our house for playdates as she will scream to be left without me. She doesn't go to preschool. She won't let my brother hug her.

However... we went on the Sky. and I took her to the kids club looking for free play time, intending to stay with her. and I told her this was the place that kids play while their mommies. Later we came back and she told me I could go away... lol. I said "dd, if you need me tell me and they will call me and ill come right back" Twice in the next hour I checked on her and she was playing happily. I cried and DF dragged me away from the viewing window.

So I'd encourage you to to a no pressure try again for the kids club.... but yeah if ds screams at the door give up........... if DD expresses any reservations about the kids club (even tho she liked it last time) she will be attending BMG, cirque and legends with me, and I think she'll have a good time. Maybe slam allen too. Oh someone mentioned BMG might be a little loud.

It has been mentioned that Howl at the Moon later in the evenings more risque songs are sung.

cirque has a cover charge, the rest are free.
