Can you book an ultimate balcony dining experience before you sail? Both the DW and I are retiring at the end of November and I would like to book something special for our December cruise.

Yes you can - by calling 1-800-PRINCESS - give them your booking number and tell them what you want. You won't be able to actually set a date for it until you arrive on the ship. As soon as you get to your cabin call DINE and schedule it - they'll take it from there.

 

And congratulations on your retirements - we both did it a couple of years ago - it's great! :-)

This is true.

 

One other thing we were told after I had paid for it ahead of time.

It's still not guaranteed and I still needed to call upon boarding as they only do so many per cruise. The night that you wish isn't guaranteed either.

If it wasn't available to me then the value of the dinner would be converted to an OBC.

 

That is the information that I was given in April 2009 so it may have changed.
