cruizinpooh Posted November 5, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2010 Can anyone please share when the Formal Nights are on a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise? I would imagine that they would be on the first Sea Day (Sunday) and then the day it departs Roatan (Thursday). However, they sometimes surprise me. Thank you! :D

nordski Posted November 5, 2010 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2010 Excellent! Thank you. I didn't realize that the Solstice sailed on Sundays. As I posted elsewhere, there was a sincere attempt to enforce the dress code in the MDR, Murano and Blu. Enjoy your cruise.

Thank you! :D These seem like the most likely days as it is the trend on celebrity with that route. We will be on Eclipse in Feb and have planned them as our nights, until we realized that the Superbowl is that sunday and there might be pushback from those who want to dress as their favorite team...(I can see it now men in formalwear with their faces painted team colors in MDR) So we think our first formal will be Monday now. Hi:)..not so sure they will change formal night (even for the Superbowl). When you get closer to the cruise you might call X and see if someone knows though. I remember sailing Century in 2004 and it was during the Playoffs. Eagles were playing the Panthers in the NFC Championship and the Colts played the Pats in the AFC game. The only reason I bring it up is that Sunday was formal night and they did not change the evening. Now, it was not the Superbowl but I know there were quite a few folks who decided to just watch the game and skip dinner. (The Eagles played in the late game). Again, not sure they will be switching formal nights or not..I don't think they will but then again you never know. Have a great cruise:D I am actually thinking of sailing Superbowl Sunday too but haven't booked a cruise yet!

Only reason I thought about it was that we were on cruise last year with superbowl and they made a big deal out of it. Me, I don't care since I already have Murano booked for dinner. I will be the first to admit when I am wrong so maybe they do change formal nights. I will find out first hand if I book a cruise for that weekend:)
