Princess cruises

we have always sailed on Princess and I would like to know why they do not give a break for three people in a room.
Your best bet is to find a good discount TA and get the best price that way.

As I usually pay 200% to cruise as a single, I understand the inequity but in reality, a third or fourth passenger in a cabin gets, and uses, the same amenities, food, service, etc. as the first and second person in the cabin.

I think the OP may be referring to the the difference between what Princess charges for a 3rd or 4th person vs. what other lines (like HAL) charge. I have seen many price quotes from HAL where the 3rd and 4th passenger in a stateroom only have to pay the port fees and taxes. I think that does occasionally happen with Princess, but not as often as on HAL.

OP.....is that what you were referring to??

Princess used to charge a very small fee for a 3rd or 4th person in the cabin but that stopped several years ago. Pricing is ALWAYS based on supply and demand, and as long as people pay the price for the 3rd or 4th person, that's what Princess will charge. They're obviously getting it because people book three or four in a cabin all the time.

I have booked a 3rd person in one of the cabins for our upcoming Thanksgiving cruise. They did pay about 30% less than the 1st 2 pax. I don't know if it's usually a larger or smaller discount, but since this is a cruise over THX, the 3 and 4 berth cabins sold out very quickly.
