What's your favorite thing to do in South Beach?

Hi All:

 

Just looking for some ideas and opinions as well as experiences in SoBE.

 

My dd & I will be staying next month pre & post cruise. Have driven through it many times and had lunch once there.

 

Have googled many things but love to hear from fellow CC'rs:)

 

We will not have a rental car......

Walking Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive are usually the two most popular, but a good place for a drink and nibble is outside Smith & Wollensky at South Pointe Park. Whether you're a walker or a runner, you can run/walk on the hard-packed beach sand, and there is also a new beachside boardwalk that begins around 15th street and heads north.

 

Good eateries:

 

The Big Pink (2nd & Collins)

Smith & Wollensky (South Pointe Park)

Thai House II (between 12th & 13th on Washington)

Maiko (13th & Washington)

Joia (2nd & Ocean)

Cafe del Mar (7th & Pennsylvania)

Tapas y Tintos (Espanola Way)

The Front Porch (14th & Ocean)

This is what we did last time were in SOBE

People watch and have breakfast on Ocean ave The Front Porch also as said above News Cafe is good

Lunch@ Joes Stone Crab takeout and go over to the park and have a nice lunch and watch the Yachts cruise by

dinner @ Grillfish great Mojitos and whole grilled fish of the day

To walk off all the calories you have eaten walk the beach or shop on lincoln ave

Yoy have to do Mango's Tropical Cafe on Ocean Dr. They have great Mojito's and the entertainment and food are fantastic.
