MCC retired Posted November 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2010 We will be doing a Westbound TA next June on the QM2, after a few days in London. I'm sure that I will have leftover Euro's once we board . I won't need them in the forseeable future . To get rid of them ,can I exchange them or at least credit them to my shipboard account at the Purser?

If you're going to be in London, then you probably won't have any Euros left at the end of your stay as we don't use the things. Possibly you may have Sterling (GBP) left over. In any case, they will either credit you at the purser's or exchange for you. However, never change Euros to Pounds (or vice versa) as you incur 2 x charges as each transaction involves USD. ocngypz Posted November 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2010 I've exchanged some excess pound sterling in the casino. However, the exchange rates were dreadful.
Betsy's Mom Posted November 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2010 You can always use your Pounds or Euros for tips on board. In order to use them against your on board bill the Purser will convert them to $ at a poor rate. Better to use for tips IMO. Our stewards requested them! rather than $. B.
