Wine pkg leftovers for TX residents when sailing out of TX

Since TX has a strict limit on the amount of alcohol TX residents can bring back, what happens if you have leftover wine from a wine package? Is some sort of exception made because it was pre-purchased and not bought on the trip?

Thanks!

They can tell if it was bought on the ship or from TX from the stamp or something, but Id just not mention it since customs form only asks what you bought out of the country. Put it in your suitcase and forgetaboutit.

Last time we came back into Texas the Customs Agent could have not cared less how much alcohol we were bringing back in. He was just waving people through that had more than the limit!
