Barcelona Mt. Montjuic via HO HO bus

Can you get to Mt. Montjuic via the Hop On, Hop Off bus?

The HO HO bus will take you to parts of Montjuic. Note the first part of the name(Mont) means mountain.

It will take you to the MNAC museum, the Miro museum but not all the way to the fort.(castle)IT also stops at the Funicular de Montjuic(a funicular railway) that goes the rest of the way to the castle..

The mountain is very large and goes all the way from the castle with overlooks the harbor, to just in front of Placa Espanya. Where on Montjuic would you like to go???

This sounds very cool! Where is the finicular and how do I get there? What is the cost? All info is apprieciated!!! :p

I had heard that the top of the mountain was a great vantage point for viewing the city.

You will need to take the Red Route - this will take you to many of the tourist spots on Montjuic. Easy to do. The Spanish Village is a lovely spot to visit up there and very quiet.

I actually get mixed up between the funiculars and the cable cars which all run to the top of the mountain.

There is a cable car from near the port that will take you up to the top.

The funicular connects with the metro from the Parallel Station.

There is a 2nd cable car up there too. IF you take the hoho bus up the mountain I'd just tell the driver you want to go up to "the castle"(which is really a fort) and he will point to the cable car stop. It is just past the Miro Museum.
