well i just got back from the Dream this past week and here is what we had.. in the "Song" lounge there was a 3 piece latin band called "Mambo Kings", in Ocean Plaza there was "Celebrations" (I think thats their name) They were 3 piece also, drummer, guitar, and femal vocalist.. but all of them sang. They play most of the popular music.. some of everything.. Clapton, Journey.. Then a one man band in the casino lounge.. played Santana and the like. then up top on lido was a couple of guys playing island like music.

Thanks for the help!

As for being called "Rock" bands, they also can be called, "Oldies, Classic rock, Disco:eek:, Dance Bands, they are all cover bands playing the music where many in the audience are tempted to yell out ....Free Bird!!

Anyone know what I'm talking about??

Hmmm...those were the same groups playing last May! Also had a duet/woman vocalist man on keyboards in the Atrium stairway each night. Mambo Kings could get you moving if you're in a salsa mood but Tito Puente they were not. Didn't care for Celebrations at the deck party (one blurr.buzz of noise), but in the lounges they did pop 40 covers some oldie pop 40 covers. No AOR. Best bet for "Free Bird" would be Karaoke:rolleyes:

With the full-equipped rock band becoming an endangered species...:(

Can anyone tell me about what the present dance/rock bands are in lounges on DREAM and on Lido deck for main party??

Thanks!

Any just off in Dec or even Jan 11?? Who's playing in the Ocean Plaza lounge and Casino Bar area?

Also, where to go for a quick M and G just after safety drill?

Thanks much!

Incidentally, I'll be just getting off Ncl Sun and hoppn' the Dream.

How's the entertainment on this NCL ship? It'll be the the first cruise after short dry dock...

Yeah... I know this is a Carnival board;) But us guys know best...IYO:rolleyes:
